Today, 17 May all hindus in Bali celebrate Tumpek Wayang, the day we praying Sang Hyang Iswara, the God manifestation of art, that enlightenment us in the dark and guide us in life also evoke our sense of art.

Tumpek Wayang describe the world that fill with darkness, and human with ignorance, arrogance, because of that Siwa send Sang Hyang Saminara give human strength, that will be a mediator called Dalang or Saminara, Sang Hyang Iswara also give strength to evoke sense of art and charm so his audience this power also called "taksu", so the Dalang can give suggestion to his audience with philosophy, critic to his audience and this made his audience have a personal suggestion that the Dalang give to enlighenment his audience.

This day usually held a wayang show called sapu leger, to melukat (purify) who born on Tumpek Wayang day.
