Museum Purbakala Gilimanuk
Have you see our “old brother” from century year before ? if you in Bali and travel to Jembrana to visit Medewi Beach or TNBB, then if you have space in your schedule, try to come to Gilimanuk and visiting Ancient Museum.
The Museum has three floor, first floor you can see some Sarkofogus, that ancient coffin made from solid rock to burry their body when they dead, also you can see some ancient human skleton, that aproximatly 800 BC old, that when their skleton was fond like a baby in the womb, this is because the ancient belive in born-life-death as a chain of life.
The second flor there is tool for farm and hunt that made from bronze, there is some axe for hunt, “Pacul” a tool to help farmer work in their field, and also a bag for hunter “ransum”. Some tools that usefull to help hunter and farmer given when they dead, because they belive there is another life in the spirit world.
The Third floor fill with kitchen tools, like plate and accesoris, so we know that ancient people has eating shell or meat.
The tools, skleton and sarkofagus known from 600 to 800 BC, from the bronze age, if you like history or just want to know visi Museum Purbakala Gilimanuk, it’s not too far from Denpasar or lovina about two (2) hours trip,sorry there is only one pic about this place, when I have time I will take one or two shoot about his place.
